Newport
I am a 6th grade science teacher at Newport Middle School in Newport NC
My favorite part of earning my EE certification was being exposed to the many environmental resources our state has to offer.
My favorite experience was being chosen as NOAA Teacher At Sea. I sailed from Oregon to Washington and had an amazing time.
My community partnership project was an Outdoor Learning Center and gardens on the campus of my school. The area includes a covered shelter, a vegetable and herb garden, a butterflly garden, compost bins, rain barrels, fig trees, and berry bushes.
